Saint Damasus and the Violence of the Kingdom
The Church venerates today Saint Damasus I, a pope who died in 384. A pontiff of combat who had to impose himself physically against the schism of Ursinus before becoming an admirable pastor. It was he who made Rome the "Apostolic See" and who commissioned the Vulgate from Saint Jerome.
This energy echoes the Gospel of the day (Matthew 11:11-15) where Jesus tells us these terrible and magnificent words: "The kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force."
This is not about violence against others, but against oneself! To master one's passions, to fast, to pray with fervor. As Saint John the Baptist teaches us, Salvation is seized through penance.

The Pope Defends the Uniqueness of the Faith
In Turkey, Pope Leo XIV took a strong stand by refusing a syncretic common prayer at the Blue Mosque. He recalled this essential truth: "I prefer to pray in a Catholic church, before the Blessed Sacrament." True worship is that rendered to Christ in the Eucharist, and to no other.
Anti-Christian Hatrage Rages
- Germany: Horror struck in Erbach, where a living nativity scene was assaulted and a church desecrated. A moral savagery that strikes our de-Christianized Europe.
- Venezuela: Maduro's socialist dictatorship continues to harass the Church, banning Cardinal Baltazar Porras from flying. Socialism remains, by nature, an enemy of religious freedom.
Europe and Its Roots
Addressing a delegation led by François-Xavier Bellamy, the Holy Father delivered a vibrant plea for the Christian roots of the Old Continent. One does not build the future by denying Christ, the cornerstone of our civilization.
Signs of Hope
- Spain: Historic record! More than 9 million Spanish taxpayers financially supported the Church through their taxes. Popular fervor is very much alive.
- Youth: The series The Chosen is coming as an animated cartoon to educate our children away from profane screens.
1793: The Vendéens' Ruse at Les Quatre-Chemins
This December 11 also marks a glorious date in our French History: the Battle of Les Quatre-Chemins de l'Oie in 1793.
After the terrible Virée de Galerne, the remnants of the Catholic and Royal Army, led by Charette and Joly, inflicted a defeat on the Blues. Thanks to a brilliant ruse—tricolor cockades to deceive the enemy—our Vendéens turned the Republican camp into a total rout, recovering weapons and shoes.
It was on the day after this victory that Charette was elected generalissimo. Glory to our martyrs who gave everything for Christ the King!
