This program is dedicated to the evolution of the Church in France following the Second Vatican Council. The priests interviewed are invited to speak on the "crisis" of the Church.
First addressed is the Church's desire to follow social developments, through the priesthood in the parish of Villeurbanne (Rhône-Alpes), where some priests work as laborers. Then, a rural community of priests in Ligny le Châtel is visited, ministering in a traditionally atheistic region (Burgundy), where new liturgical practices are being experimented with. In the parish of La Madeleine (Nord), its priest is evolving liturgical practices and proposes "conversation-Masses" modeled on a banquet. He also welcomes meetings with the laity.
Finally, the abbot of the monastery of Notre Dame du Bec (Normandy) is given a voice regarding the place of contemplation in these developments. The program consists of three segments. The segments alternate between interviews and factual images of the Abbey of Notre Dame du Bec, the working-class neighborhoods of Villeurbanne, Ligny le Châtel under snow, and the Church of La Madeleine in Lille, of liturgical activities, notably Masses, and photographs of filming children in catechism class. A musical excerpt of an "Alleluia" sung by the choir of monks of Solesmes opens the program.
