Following the open letter from the Bishops of France published on July 22, 2021, the Catholic Laurent Aventin is undeterred and decides to respond to this troubling letter from a servant of God.
The Scathing Letter of Laurent Aventin
As a Catholic, I was struck by the open letter from the bishops of France published on July 22, 2021, which takes a position in favor of the policy regarding vaccination and the health pass. Without anger or pride, I react to both its substance and its form.
You write:
"the vaccination in question is the available medical response to face an epidemic that risks paralyzing economic life again, but above all social life and the exchange of affection and friendship."
This analysis particularly worries me, first because it is not the Sars-CoV-2 epidemic that is paralyzing economic and social life, but the response brought to it by global and French health authorities. This policy has affected social and economic life and has weakened many lives, starting with the mental health of our younger generations but also the elderly.
Furthermore, you assert that "vaccination is the available medical response to face this epidemic."
Your statements are not argued, and you question neither the "availability of the vaccine" nor the "unavailability of treatments for COVID."
The vaccines you refer to were developed in record time and imposed on populations based on a 99.97% survival rate of infected persons while medical management was adjusting to an unknown disease. On January 9, 2020, Chinese health authorities and the WHO announced the discovery of a new coronavirus responsible for COVID-19; the complete viral sequence was available the next day, January 10.
Less than a week later and over a weekend, BioNtech proposed the vaccine candidate that would be commercialized. Moderna followed suit a few days later. Beyond the fact that this is more of a gene therapy than what is understood to be a vaccine, it is technically impossible to develop a response in such a short time. You will not have missed that in a market now estimated at several hundred billion dollars with the 3rd and 4th doses, Sanofi has never been able to develop its mRNA vaccine, even after a year and a half of hard work, while a share of the multi-billion dollar market was reserved for it (advance purchase of vaccine doses).
Sanofi's teams failed to stabilize their mRNA vaccine and have focused since October 2021 on another vaccine technology. Sanofi, the 7th largest laboratory in the world with over $40 billion in revenue, surely has the means to hire the best molecular biologists to accomplish what Ugur Sahin supposedly achieved in just two hours?
Several treatments showed their efficacy as early as spring 2020, notably hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, which did not receive WHO validation, and subsequently Western countries aligned themselves with these decisions.
The Lancet Gate emerged on May 22, 2020, with a publication unfavorable to the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine; the WHO and other countries, like France, decided to discard this molecule despite the official denunciation of a fraud by The Lancet itself. The article was withdrawn from publication, but neither the WHO nor Western countries revised their position on hydroxychloroquine.

Ivermectin is used successfully in many countries despite the WHO's unfavorable opinion. The 56 trials involving 469 scientists and 18,447 patients showed an 85% improvement in cases for preventive use against the disease when taken before exposure to the virus. A 78% improvement was observed in patients when administered early and 46% when administered late.
A 74% decrease in mortality was observed. The Pasteur Institute very belatedly confirmed the efficacy of Ivermectin on an animal model, immediately generating false and ideological counter-information.
The WHO is a highly politicized organization with a clear increase in its funding from the private sector over the past 25 years; it is notably linked to the pharmaceutical industry, which has no profit to gain from the use of hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, two inexpensive molecules long produced as generic drugs...
If sars-cov-2 kills, the vaccine also injures and kills: strokes, heart failure, blood clots, brain disorders, convulsions, epileptic seizures, inflammation of the brain and spinal cord, potentially fatal allergic reactions, autoimmune diseases, arthritis, miscarriages, infertility, spontaneous muscle weakness, deafness, blindness, narcolepsy, cataplexy...
With barely 10 months of hindsight on adverse effects, the use of vaccines is not justifiable because the prevalence of long-developing diseases (cancers, autoimmune diseases, neuro-endocrine system diseases...) cannot yet be estimated. You are not unaware that in early October 2021, the European Medicines Agency notified, via EudraVigilance, nearly 27,000 deaths formally linked to the vaccine and more than 2 million complications, half of which were serious cases. The risk-benefit ratio was established based on studies conducted by the pharmaceutical industry, whose vocation is commercial. Conflicts of interest are evident.
The risk-benefit analysis must be established taking into account all possible therapies and without manipulation.

Regarding the form of your letter, you qualify opponents as "refractory," a pejorative term denoting insubordination and rebellion. Beyond the fact that you are passing judgment on those who refuse vaccination, you are contributing to division instead of fostering unity.
There are also "refractory" individuals within the Church. It is sometimes adrift, when, as in Canada or Zimbabwe, it requires a health pass to attend Mass.
Over the centuries, many Saints died to help plague victims and bring them communion. Mortality rates for infected persons were 30 to 60% for the bubonic form and almost 100% for the pneumonic form.
Today, the secularized Church hides behind charity to justify vaccination.
On the COVID issue, the Church's role is to bring lies to light (Take no part in the fruitless works of darkness; rather expose them – Eph 5:11), not to say whether one should get vaccinated or not.
Should not the sacrosanct free will given by God to Man be respected by those very ones who represent Him here on earth? Speak the truth and leave each person the freedom to make their choices in conscience and without judgment.
Charity lies there and not in a toxic vaccination, nor in stigmatization of the unvaccinated. The government is already doing that, to the point of oppression, and it is gradually establishing a governance that recalls the worst periods of the 20th century.
In September 2021, in Rome, more than 5,000 doctors and scientists accused governments of criminal incompetence against COVID-19, while all complaints against authorities in France and the West are dismissed. Your open letter goes against History and risks involving the Church of France in a new scandal.
