In a world where science is often used to deny God, an extraordinary intellect comes precisely to remind us that the Christian faith is entirely compatible with reason. YoungHoon Kim, officially recognized as the man with the highest IQ in the world—a staggering figure of 276—recently made a public declaration that is sure to leave a mark:
"Jesus Christ is God."
This South Korean genius, who identifies as the "world record holder for IQ" on his X profile (formerly Twitter), does not hide his Christian faith. In a message published on Tuesday, he clearly states:
"As the world record holder for IQ, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way, the truth, and the life."
A clear profession of faith, made without hesitation, which has sparked numerous reactions.
But Kim does not stop there. In response to those who congratulated him for this testimony of faith, he adds that he now wishes to "lead many souls to God" and declares that "Christ is [his] logic." This is a powerful statement, especially coming from a man who, evidently, masters the workings of scientific thought like few others.
A Christian Intellectual
YoungHoon Kim is not an occasional believer. He studied Christian theology at Yonsei University, an institution renowned as the best private university in Asia. He even calls theology the "ultimate discipline among all academic disciplines." This is far from the stereotype of the cold scientist, cut off from the spiritual: Kim shows that one can be both a scholar and a believer, without contradiction.
Last March, he had already spoken about life after death in a video where he explained that modern science, particularly quantum physics, does not rule out the idea of an afterlife. According to him, "consciousness is not just a brain activity, it is deeper." He explains that, from a quantum perspective, information never disappears but transforms, which opens the door to the hypothesis that our consciousness could continue to exist after the death of the body, akin to data stored in a computer cloud.
A Scientific Vision of the Afterlife
Kim does not stop at mere speculation. He evokes the idea that human consciousness is integrated into a vaster system, far beyond the material world. He even suggests that "our reality could be a simulation created by a higher dimension"—an idea shared by some great thinkers and scientists. From this perspective, death would not be an end, but a transition to another form of reality.
He states:
"Science is progressing, and we are always learning more about consciousness and reality. Death is not destruction, but a change, a passage."
And he concludes:
"Humanity will continue to seek the truth about what comes after."
This is a genuine call for serious reflection, rooted in an explicit faith in Jesus Christ and founded on rational grounds.
Recognized since 2024 as the man with the highest IQ, notably by Official World Record, the World Memory Championships, and the World Memory Sports Council, YoungHoon Kim has undertaken numerous ambitious intellectual projects. He founded the United Sigma Intelligence Association, a group bringing together the brightest minds on the planet. Prestigious names like Richard Dawkins or Neil deGrasse Tyson have been associated with it—even if one may doubt they share his faith.
He is also the originator of the Intellectual Hall of Fame, which includes figures like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and the late Stephen Hawking.
Since October, he has been leading NeuroStory, a Korean company specializing in advanced brain health technologies. Supported by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups, this company develops innovative tools for neurological diagnosis using artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and massive data processing. The goal is clear: to understand the human brain, but always with the idea that consciousness transcends mere matter.
He also holds important positions in the World Memory Championships as well as in the Lifeboat Foundation, an organization dedicated to preventing global catastrophic risks.
